English fans are still hoping to win Euro 2024 with a thrilling return win over Slovakia.
That would have been awful for the Three Lions to lose in the last 16 on Sunday night after Ivan Schranz scored in the first half in Gelsenkirchen.
But Jude Bellingham scored the most thrilling last-second bicycle kick to save Gareth Southgate’s face and send the game into extra time. Captain Harry Kane scored early in extra time to complete an amazing comeback.
After a disappointing group stage, another lackluster performance won’t have done much to stop the doubters. However, such an exciting comeback could give England much-needed confidence as they prepare for next weekend’s quarterfinals.
