The people who are after Scott Scheffler have finally found something that can slow him down: nightfall.
At 7:45 p.m., it got dark, stopping Scheffler’s bid for his fourth PGA Tour win in five starts at the RBC Heritage. Sunday, after play had been stopped earlier in the day because of bad weather.
Scheffler is 18 under for the week and has a three-shot lead with only three holes to play. Sahith Theegala (through 15), Patrick Cantlay (through 17), and J.T. Poston (through 17) are the next three golfers, all at 15 under, and are still on the course.
