We’re just living in Bryson DeChambeau’s world.
When he moved to LIV Golf, he finally had the money to carry out some of his dreams.
It was great for the Crusher GC captain to help win the Team Championship in Miami last weekend. It made his already-big wallet even bigger.
That money has been used in the past. News from Front Office Sports says that DeChambeau joined a business group that is opening a place like TopGolf called “UnderPar Life.” The building will be at the public Hawks Creek Golf Course in Westworth Village, which is a neighborhood of Fort Worth, Texas.
DeChambeau agreed that golf is an expensive sport that not many people can afford to play.
DeChambeau said, “It’s an unusually high bar to experience the joy of golf.” The goal of our projects is to make golf more accessible, cheap, and fun for everyone. Working with golf courses owned by cities and towns takes away a lot of cash problems and lets us bring more players together.
This new venue should be built between 12 and 18 months after the ground is broken, if not before the end of 2023.
“UnderPar Life” isn’t like most TopGolf courses. Professional baseball players-to-be will be able to use it, and it will have pits and a range to hit balls into.
It will have two floors and be about 16,000 square feet in size. The range will be 500 yards long and have 42 hitting bays, each with a Trackman unit. The building that was once the U.S. Open winner had an exercise center, a golf teaching school, and a “Tour-level” short game practice area.
There will be three bars, and the food menu was made by Christian Lehrmann, a famous cook from Texas.
DeChambeau is also trying to get a club maker to make the clubs so that they are better quality for the course.
The pro player isn’t the first one to try golf entertainment. Tiger Woods is involved in two businesses in this area. He co-owns PopStroke, a small golf course, and T-Squared, a bar with a golf simulator. Rory McIlroy also has stock in Puttery, a chain of small golf courses.
For DeChambeau, the money he makes with LIV Golf could help him do more of these kinds of business.
The goal of most people in the golf world is to make the game better. In light of this, Dechambeau’s efforts to make his “UnderPar Life” business more cheap are remarkable. This will allow golfers of all skill levels to enjoy the sport he loves.
