In the four-part documentary series “Beckham,” Rebecca Loos, who is said to be David Beckham’s lover, responds to what the former soccer star said.
The Netflix documentary series tells the story of David and Victoria Beckham’s 26-year relationship. In 2004, after moving to Real Madrid and hiring Loos as his personal helper, David was said to have had an affair. The last show, “What Makes David Run,” looks into these claims.
Loos told DailyMail on Saturday that the way David talked about the supposed affair makes it sound like “I’m the one who has made Victoria suffer.”
“What bothers me the most is that he says he didn’t like seeing his wife suffer.” That made me mad. Because he’s the one who made them suffer. He could have just said, “This was a hard time, and I don’t want to talk about it,” she said about the film.
She went on, “He’s making himself the victim and making me look like the liar,” said Loos, a Dutch model born in Spain. He makes it look like I made up these awful lies. All I can think is “poor me.” He needs to take care of things.
“Yes, the stories were horrible, but they’re true,” she said. “I thought for a long time about whether to talk about this today. If I don’t, people will think I’m a liar who made up stories.” I also have a family and kids, and they can use Google and watch programs. I want them to know that their mom was strong enough to stand up to them and tell them the truth.
How does David Beckham feel about the reports that he cheated on his wife in the Netflix documentary?
In the docuseries, David didn’t name Loos by name. Instead, he talked about how “difficult” it was for Victoria after she moved to Spain.
“Victoria is everything to me,” he clarifies. “It was very hard to see her hurt, but we’re fighters, and we had to fight for each other at that time.” We were going to fight for our family because it was important to us. But in the end, it’s our private life.”
There are reports that David Beckham is cheating on Victoria Beckham. “Everyone was against us.”
Victoria talked about the change in her relationship and said, “It was the hardest time for us because it felt like everyone was against us.” That being said, if I’m being honest, we were also against each other.
The Spice Girls star said, “We were connected” before David’s move. We each had each other. It didn’t feel like we had each other in Spain either, which is sad.
The director of “Beckham” doesn’t ask David directly if he cheated, and David told USA TODAY in an interview that the question wasn’t important to him. “What amazed me and interested me was, ‘Was it (their relationship) almost over there?’ “How did you handle it?” “What did you value?” Stevens told them.
