Elon Musk, a billionaire tech entrepreneur, is thinking about bringing back right-wing talk show host Alex Jones to X, the site that used to be Twitter.

“Bring Alex Jones back to this platform? It’s the people, it’s the Gods,” Musk, who owns X, wrote on the site on Saturday.

There is a vote on the question in Musk’s post.

The businessman’s question and poll post seems to go against what he said before about Jones being brought back to the platform. Last year, a user of the site asked Musk if the controversial figure would be able to return. Musk replied with a sarcastic message.

In the first tweet, Musk said, “Let little children come to me; do not stop them.” This is what the kingdom of heaven is like.

Musk gave a powerful answer when asked more about the subject by another user.

“The first child I had died in my arms.” He died, and I could feel it,” Musk said. “I will not spare anyone who would use the deaths of children for power, fame, or money.”

Jones has spread the false idea that the 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, in which 20 children died, was a “false-flag” event set up to make people more in favour of gun control. In 2018, he was banned for good from X, which was then called Twitter.

It was announced at the time that @realalexjones and @infowars would no longer be able to use Twitter or Periscope. “This was done because of new reports of Tweets and videos posted yesterday that break our policy on abusive behaviour, on top of the accounts’ previous violations.”

Musk didn’t own X or Twitter in 2018, when Jones was taken down. In October 2022, the tech entrepreneur bought the business.
