Lionel Messi’s 11th goal of the Ligue 1 season was classy and timely, but questions about Neymar’s injury will take some of the fun out of Paris Saint-4-3 Germain’s win over Lille at the Parc des Princes on Sunday.

It was a nail-biter from the beginning to the end. Neymar set up a goal for Kylian Mbappe and then scored himself to make it 2-0 after 17 minutes. Lille then scored three times in a row, but Mbappe tied the score at 3-3 in the 87th minute, setting up Messi’s spectacular finish.

But in the 51st minute, Neymar got hurt. The Brazil legend seemed to hurt his ankle, and he was in a lot of pain when Hugo Ekitike came on to replace him.

PSG is in the middle of a tough stretch of games. On Sunday, they play at Marseille, then host Nantes, and then go to the Allianz Arena for the second leg of their tie with Bayern Munich.

Timothy Weah, a star for the USMNT, was put in a position similar to that of a left wingback. From this strange spot, he made three key passes.

In the fifth minute of extra time, Messi took charge of a free kick and hit it spectacularly.

The World Cup winner’s shot went through a lot of people and hit the bottom of the post, leaving Lucas Chevalier of Lille pawing at the air.
