This past weekend, NFL fans paid a lot of attention to D’Andre Swift. The Alabama star Jahmyr Gibbs was taken early in the first round by the team where the running back used to play. Then, the Lions traded Swift to the Philadelphia Eagles, which is where he grew up. So, the former star of the Georgia Bulldogs and native of Philadelphia made his first showing in Philly since the trade on Monday.
Even though Twitter was down on Monday afternoon, many people watched as Swift arrived in Philadelphia. The team put up a video of Swift entering the team’s building for the first time.
“A Swift arrival,” was what the Eagles said about it.
Swift is very talented, but he has had trouble staying on track and has had health problems. In the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Lions picked him. He hasn’t played a full season yet. In his first three years, he played 13, 13, and 14 games. He has run 364 times for 1,680 yards, which gives him a 4.6 YPC for his whole career. He has reached the end zone 18 times. His best season was his first, when he ran for eight scores.
If the first test is any sign, they can expect to be loved. Swift is likely to take Miles Sanders’s place. Sanders left the Eagles when he became a free agent and chose to sign with the Carolina Panthers instead.
