Lexi Thompson plays golf better than most women in the world. That’s something every golf fan will tell you. We are truly amazed by what she is doing this week at the Shriners Children’s Open on the PGA Tour.

She became only the seventh woman in PGA Tour history to play in an event with men competing on Thursday. She had an up and down round. She ended up 2 over after paring her 18th hole early Friday morning, when play had been stopped.

It was clear that she wasn’t scared when she played with skilled men. Thompson shot the ball farther than her opponents on Thursday from the same tees. On Friday, she’ll also show off her skills on the green.

The par-4 10th was her first mistake of the round, and she then had a great run on the greens. Thompson quickly got back on track with birdies at 11 and 13. Then, on the par-4 16th, she hit the green with a drive and made two putts to get back to even par.

The golf world is crazy about her shot after the turn, though.

On the par-4 first hole, the LPGA star made a birdie from 24 feet out to get into the reds. Of course, that put her above the planned cut line as well. She wasn’t done yet, though.

The next hole, her flat stick worked again, and she made a 28-foot birdie putt.

A lot of people are amazed by her story, and she has become popular on social media.

Thompson wants to be the first woman in PGA Tour history to make it to Sunday. Six women had played with men before Babe Zaharias in 1945. She was the only one who made it past 36 holes. There was a 54-hole cut, and Zaharias did not make it. Thompson would be the first woman to tee off on the last day of play.

She is two shots under for the event with six holes to go, one shot above the cut line.

Whether she makes the cut or not, this is going to be one of the best golf stories of the year.
