El Nacional says that Thiago Alcantara, a defender for Liverpool, is likely to move to Al-Nassr, where he will play with players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane. He will also find other top players at the Saudi Pro League (SPL) club, like Marcelo Brozovic and Aymeric Laporte.
Al-Nassr, coached by the Portuguese Luis Castro, has been a star-studded hiring spree, adding top-level players to their team as they try to take the league lead from Al-Hilal. Neymar, Kalidou Koulibaly, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Ruben Neves, and other big names play for Al-Hilal. This has made the battle in Saudi Arabia’s top football league even tougher.
Thiago Alcantara, who has been hurt a lot lately and hasn’t played for Liverpool this season, looks like he’s going to start over. Since Alcantara is having trouble fitting into Jurgen Klopp’s plans, he probably won’t play a big role at Anfield again, especially since the club bought some new players over the summer.
Liverpool apparently has no plans to offer him a new deal since his current one ends in June 2024. Thiago will be freed in January, and he will be asked for money, even if it’s not much. So, it looks like Thiago is going to Saudi Arabia, more specifically Al-Nassr.
Thiago would play with Sadio Mane again, who used to play with him at Liverpool, and Aymeric Laporte, who plays for Spain’s national team. But Cristiano Ronaldo is still the major draw. He has been lighting up the Saudi Pro League with his appearance. Thiago’s move to Al-Nassr will give the player a fresh start and make the famous league a more popular place to watch football around the world.
