The stadium is where the Las Vegas Raiders play, and it used to be called Sam Boyd Stadium, but now it’s just called The Stadium.
College Football
Game for the Pac-12 football championship
The Pac-12 Conference said on July 24, 2019, that the 2020 and 2021 Pac-12 Football Championship Game would be played at Allegiant Stadium instead of Levi’s Stadium.
Las Vegas Bowl
The Las Vegas Bowl used to be held at Sam Boyd Stadium, but now it is at Allegiant Stadium. The game is played every year between a team from the Pac-12 and a team from the SEC or Big Ten. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 virus meant that the 2020 Las Vegas Bowl could not happen, so the first game could not happen. The first game was in 2021, and Wisconsin beat Arizona State 20–13.
Vegas Kickoff Classic
A new college football game with no home field was announced in March 2021. It would be called the Vegas Kickoff Classic. The game, which is put on by the Las Vegas Bowl, is a neutral site college football game that falls every September. The first game was on September 4, 2021, and the BYU Cougars beat the Arizona Wildcats 24–16. There were 54,541 people in attendance, which was the most people ever to watch a college football game or any other college sports event in the history of the state of Nevada.
The East–West Shrine Bowl
The East–West Shrine Bowl was set to take place at Allegiant Stadium on February 3, 2022, as part of NFL Pro Bowl week. The news came out in July 2021. The all-star game was held in two different bowls before it was moved to the Ford Centre at The Star in Frisco, Texas, for the 2024 game.
Shamrock Series (Notre Dame-BYU)
As part of Notre Dame’s Shamrock Series, a college football game between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the BYU Cougars was set to take place at Allegiant Stadium on October 8, 2022. The Fighting Irish would be the home team.
The NFL
Pro Bowl
The NFL said on June 16, 2020, that the stadium would be the site of the 2021 Pro Bowl. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the game was moved to 2022. The score was 41–35 for the American Football Conference and 35–41 for the National Football Conference. The 2023 Pro Bowl took place on Sunday, February 5, 2023, and the NFC beat the AFC 35–33.
Super Bowl LVII
The Super Bowl LVII will be held at Allegiant Stadium on February 11, 2024.
Soccer
On August 1, 2021, the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup final took place at Allegiant Stadium.
It was also the site of the 2021 Leagues Cup final between teams from Major League Soccer and Liga MX.
The stadium will be the site of three Copa América games in 2024: two in the group stage and a semifinal.
