Norwich City lost its last two EFL Championship games to end 2023, but on Monday, Josh Sargent will be looking to get the Canaries their first win of the year.

Before long, Sargent finally played for David Wagner’s team again on Friday, but they lost 1-0 to Millwall away from home. The U.S. men’s national team forward missed a lot of time because of an ankle injury he got in August. He is now healthy again and ready to be a major contributor in the second half of the season. Sargent scored three goals in his first four games of the 2023–24 season. He will be eager to get back to that level of play, starting with Monday’s home game against Southampton.

In the English FA Cup, Chris Richards’ Crystal Palace play Everton at home. In EFL Championship play, Haji Wright and Coventry City go to Middlesbrough.

Four USMNT players, including Weston McKennie and Christian Pulisic, are in Italy to help their teams get further in the Coppa Italia.
