Leandro Trossard wants to play in Arsenal’s game against Manchester United on Sunday without having to wait.
The winger joined the Gunners on Friday in a deal that could be worth up to £26 million. He came from Brighton.
Arsenal thinks that they turned in the paperwork before noon on Friday, so Trossard could play against United at Emirates Stadium.
In his first interview with Arsenal.com, Trossard said, “I’m really excited to get going.” “This is a big club, and I’m ready to prove myself to the fans.
“Everyone has seen how well we’re doing, and I’m here to help everyone, including myself, reach their goals.”
Before their game with United on Sunday, the Gunners are likely to start the same team that beat Tottenham 2-0 in the North London derby.
Gabriel Jesus is still out with a knee injury, and Reiss Nelson has a problem with his hamstring, but manager Mikel Arteta can use everyone else.
Ramsdale, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko, Odegaard, Partey, Xhaka, Saka, Nketiah, and Martinelli are expected to be in the Arsenal XI (4-3-3).
