In Week 6 of the NFL season, many fans are so desperate for help at quarterback that they want Colin Kaepernick to join their team. The biggest fans on Twitter are from the New England Patriots, who want the former second-round pick to play for them.
Since the 2016 season, Kaepernick has not been on an NFL team. Take a knee during the national anthem to protest police abuse during NFL games. The 35-year-old QB was not signed again.
It’s still his dream to play in the NFL, though. After Aaron Rodgers hurt his Achilles and was out for the season, Kaepernick called out to the New York Jets. His goal was to get on the Jets’ practise team and show that he could play a bigger part in the NFL.
The Jets don’t care. The experienced quarterback hasn’t been picked up by any other team, even though many teams need a quarterback.

Some football fans want Kaepernick to join their teams because they have trouble with their quarterbacks. Some Patriots fans like Mac Jones, even though he has thrown more picks than scores this season. His back-up, Bailey Zappe, has also been bad.
Fans of the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants have also asked him to help them. These are some groups of fans who want Kaepernick to succeed.
