Clark did everything she could to help Iowa win. She scored 30 points and broke Chamique Holdsclaw’s record for most points scored in the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament history.

On his Instagram Stories, McCaffrey shared a picture of Clark getting up from the floor and heading towards the tunnel.
“My GOAT,” he wrote under the shot.
She got Iowa off to a great start, and they led by seven points in the first quarter. But South Carolina came back in the second.
During the second half, the Gamecocks kept it up and played tough defence against Clark and the rest of her Iowa teammates. At the end of the night, Clark and the Hawkeyes watched as South Carolina celebrated their second title in three years as confetti fell on them.
Clark will be in charge of the next group of WNBA stars in about a week. When the draft starts, she’ll probably be the first player picked.
“The emotions will probably hit me over the next couple days,” she told me. “I don’t have much time to be sad and sulk.” That doesn’t seem to be what I’m about either. I’m sorry we lost, but I’m also really proud of myself, my friends, and this whole programme. “You have a lot to be proud of.”
Clark also sent Iowa one last goodbye message after the game.
She wrote on Instagram, “I’ll miss you.”
