Christian Miller is a rising star in track and field. When he was only 17, he broke the record for the youngest man ever to run the 100-meter race in less than 10 seconds.
Miller ran a wind-legal 9.93 at the Pure Athletics Spring Invitational in Clermont, Florida. This earned him multiple records and the top spot on the podium.
Not only is he the youngest person to ever break the rare 10 second mark, but he is also the fastest American under 20 years old. Track star Trayvon Bromell set the national U20 record in 2014 with a time of 9.97.
Miller moves up to third place on the all-time World U20 list with this 9.93. Issam Asinga of Surinam has the best time, 9.80 seconds, set in July 2023. Letsile Tebogo of Botswana is in second place, 9.91 seconds set in 2022.
