In Portugal’s UEFA Euro 2024 qualifier against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday (October 16), Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 1100th goal for both his club and his country.
At the Bilino Polje in Zenica, a wild Portugal team has taken over. Ronaldo, their leader, scored the first goal from the penalty spot inside five minutes. The 38-year-old scored his 858th goal for his country and club, and he also set up his 1100th goal.
After fifteen minutes, Ronaldo scored another goal, giving Portugal a two-goal lead for the night. In 203 games, he scored his 127th goal for Portugal. It was also his ninth goal in seven games in the Euro 2024 qualifiers that are still going on.
Ronaldo scored two goals, and Roberto Martinez’s team scored three more before halftime. Bruno Fernandes, Joao Cancelo, and Joao Felix all scored.
With their 3-2 win over Slovakia at home on Friday, Portugal has already secured their spot at Euro 2024 in Germany. At the half, the Selecao is ahead 5-0 in Zenica and looks like they will win their eighth straight game to keep their perfect qualifying campaign going.

Ronaldo will try to play in a record-setting sixth European Championships in Germany next year. No other player has done so in more than four. If the leader of the Selecao scores, he will be the oldest player to score at the Euros. He will be 39 years old.
Ronaldo will score more goals than Ivica Vastic, who got a goal for Austria against Poland in Euro 2008 when he was 38 years old.
