David Beckham says something after Phil Neville is fired.

David Beckham, who owns Inter Miami, said that firing Phil Neville was the right thing to do because the MLS team is last in the Eastern Conference.

After their latest loss in MLS on Thursday, Miami revealed that they had parted ways with Neville. A string of bad results led to Neville’s departure. Beckham said it was “right to make a change” after 15 games, when Miami was failing and making the playoffs was the bare minimum.

Beckham said in a statement after Neville was fired, “Phil has made a real contribution to the culture of our club with his qualities as a leader and his knowledge as a coach.” “In this game, we have to make some hard choices sometimes, and we’re sad to say that we think it’s time to make a change.”

Neville has been in charge since January 2021. Last season, he took the team to the first round of the MLS Cup. But so far this season, Miami’s play has gone down, and they have lost 66 percent of their MLS games.

With a record of 5-0-10, they are 15th in the Eastern Conference. They have lost their last four MLS games, so they are now 16th. The US Open Cup is still going on, but MLS is still Beckham and the team’s top concern.

Neville’s last game was a 1-0 loss to New York Red Bulls at home on Wednesday. His team only had one shot on goal the whole game. The Red Bulls had nine shots on goal and still won, even though they lost a player late in the game.

At a recent press meeting, Neville snapped at a reporter. This was a sign that he was getting stressed out. Orlando City beat Miami 3-1, and Neville lost his temper and cursed at a member of the media who cut him off after the game.

“May I finish my speech? Okay, because I don’t stop your question. So don’t talk over me, and have some f****** respect,” Neville told the reporter.

Neville has had a record of 35-13-42 since he was hired on January 18, 2021. This is a 38.89% win rate. Miami will now start looking for a candidate right away, but Neville may still be in the area because his son plays for the team.
