Fans of NCIS, you should get ready. New episodes of Season 20 will be back soon, but not tonight as some might have thought.
People have watched their favorite government agents solve high-level crimes for the U.S. Navy on CBS for the past 20 years. Even though there have been big changes in the last two seasons, like Mark Harmon leaving in season 19 and the show often having crossover episodes with NCIS: Hawaii, the action has recently turned back to the current team. Fans have been dying to see Parker (Gary Cole), Torres (Wilmer Valderrama), Knight (Katrina Law), and the rest of the team on their TV sets again. But after a very exciting episode on April 10, fans have been wondering when the current season will end and when new episodes will start.
Even though a new episode of NCIS: Los Angeles aired this week, it won’t be the same for the original version of the popular show. Hello! Magazine says that the CBS show is on hiatus, so there won’t be a new episode of NCIS tonight.
When will there be new shows of NCIS?
On Monday, May 1, at 9 p.m. ET, NCIS will be back on CBS. The news that the show is going on pause comes on the same night that new episodes of NCIS: Hawai’i are usually shown. People shouldn’t worry too much, though, because both will be back to finish their next seasons before making a whole new set of shows this fall.

The reason NCIS: Los Angeles has a different schedule than the other two is because the show is finishing in May after 14 seasons. Keeping this in mind, IMDB says that a new episode will air on April 23. After that, the show will take a break before saying its final words early next month.
Wilmer gave a hint about what to expect from the NCIS members in Washington, D.C. earlier this month, for those who were curious. In an Instagram video he shared on April 7, he told viewers to expect to see a new side of the unit. He also wore an orange jumpsuit to show off his style before the season finale.

In the short clip, he said, “I’m so proud of the episode we just shot.” “Our season finale is crazy, and the show has never done anything like it before.”
Wilmer went on, “Really excited about all the new storylines, all the new things, all the new operations, and all the new turns and twists the show is going to take all these characters on.”
Well, if Wilmer is happy about where NCIS is going, it will be even better when the show goes back on the air.
