Roberto Firmino shared a video of himself giving a speech at the private goodbye party held for him two weekends ago. Bobby talks about what the club has meant to him over the years in excellent English.

Here is the complete text of that speech:

“In a few days, my family and I will leave Liverpool after living there for eight years. When I moved here from Germany eight years ago, I knew about Liverpool, of course. But I didn’t know…”

“I had no idea how passionate the club members are. And what a big part this club plays in so many people’s lives all over the world.”

“I didn’t know how absolutely crazy, passionate, and important this club and stadium are to the people who work there.”

“To be honest, I could never have imagined that we could do what we did together. So far, it has been the greatest honour of my life to be a part of this Liverpool family.

One of the best players who has ever played at Anfield. Bobby, I wish you the best. We’re looking forward to seeing you again.
