Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo is at a point in his career where each game he plays and each goal he gets sets a new record. Recently, records have been made about this superhuman. Cristiano is one of, if not the best football player of all time. Not only is he a good football player, but he is also a great athlete.
The History of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Playing
Ronaldo joined the Sporting CP youth team when he was 16. The boss of the first team gave him a spot on the team. Ronaldo was the first player for Sporting CP to play for the under-16, under-17, under-18, B-team, and first team before joining the adult team in 2002.
Manchester United
In 2003, Cristiano Ronaldo played for Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League against Manchester United. Alex Ferguson was impressed by how Ronaldo played when Real Madrid beat Manchester United 3-1 in August 2003. That same year, he brought him to the club.
During his six years at Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo became one of their most important players. During that time, Manchester United became one of the most successful teams in Europe, winning three league titles in a row and the UEFA Champions League in 2008.
Real Madrid
In 2009, Cristiano Ronaldo became the most expensive player in the world after Spanish giant Real Madrid paid Manchester United £80 million to bring him to Madrid.
The next season, he scored 40 goals in the Spanish league, which set a record for the league and helped Real Madrid win the Copa Del Rey.
Ronaldo got 17 goals in the Champions League. This made him the player who scored the most goals in a single season of the event. He won the Champions League three times in a row with Real Madrid and a total of four times with the Spanish club.
Juventus
There were reports that Ronaldo would be leaving Real Madrid soon, so he made a deal to move to Juventus for 100 million euros, plus an extra 12 million euros in fees and donations to Ronaldo’s youth team. His move fee was the most ever paid for a player over 30.
Ronaldo said he moved to Juventus because he wanted a new challenge, but he later said he left because the club boss didn’t back him. He scored his first goal for Juventus on August 18, 2018, against Chievo. When he first played for Juventus in the Champions League, he was sent off for rough play.
Because of what he did for Sporting CP, he became well-known, and teams like Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester United started trying to sign him. Ronaldo’s agent talked about hiring him with Gerard Houllier, who was the manager of Liverpool at the time, and Joan Laporta, who was the president of Barcelona. Arsenal’s management also met with Ronaldo to discuss a prospective transfer.

Messi passed Ronaldo in the race for the Ballon d’Or when he won his sixth in 2019, and it looks like he will stay ahead. The 2020 award was canceled because of the coronavirus outbreak, so Ronaldo won’t have another chance to win until 2021, when he will be almost 37 years old.
