Since she became a pro in 2000, Charley Hoffman has won nine events. He has won five tournaments in total, four on the PGA Tour and one on the Korn Ferry Tour. The other four were on other professional golf tours.

His first professional win came at the Legend Trail & Wildlife, a Gateway Tour event in 2002, just two years after he turned pro. He is now 47 years old. With scores of 65-68-69 over three rounds, he beat Kris Cox and Marco Gortana by one stroke.

The American won three Gateway Tour events in 2004. The Pacific Series 1 and the Maderas Irish Open were two of them.

Hoffman won the Permian Basin Charity Golf Classic, which was part of the Nationwide Tour, in 2004. In a playoff, he beat Jeff Gove and Craig Lile to win the event.

He played very well on the Nationwide Tour the next year, making the cut in 18 of the 26 events he played in. He won his PGA Tour card for the next season by coming in 19th on the money list.

Charley Hoffman first played on the PGA Tour in 2006. He beat John Rollins in a playoff at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic in 2007 to win his first Tour event. He won his next PGA Tour event, the Deutsche Bank Championship, in 2010. At that time, it was a FedEx Cup match. Jason Day, Luke Donald, and Geoff Ogilvy all lost to Hoffman, who won by five strokes.

The OHL Classic in Mayakoba in 2014 and the Valero Texas Open in 2016 were his other PGA Tour wins.

After having trouble with his game last year, Hoffman finally had a good year in 2024. He came in second place at the WM Phoenix Open last week.
