Three months after a “medical complication” that he didn’t say much about put him in the hospital, Jamie Foxx is not only back in action but also on a boat.
The Oscar winner can be seen waving, giving the peace sign, and talking to fans in a video that TMZ got over the weekend. The video was taken from a boat on the Chicago River. Foxx seems to be on the boat with a few other people. On Sunday, he tweeted, “Boat life,” then promoted his bourbon brand and wrote, “Stay blessed!”
This was the first time Foxx had been seen in public since he had been in the hospital for a few weeks. Early in May, he wrote to friends to thank them for their well-wishes: “Appreciate all the love!!! On his Instagram page, he wrote, “Feeling blessed.”
A few days later, Radar Online published a post that said Foxx’s closest friends and family were “hoping for the best but preparing for the worst” and that he had not yet been released from the hospital. Foxx’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, shut down the rumors by talking about a hobby that helped her father get better. “
The family has some news: It’s sad to see how crazy the media can be. My dad has been home from the hospital for a few weeks now and is getting better. Yesterday, he was even playing tennis!” she wrote on her Instagram story. “Thank you all for your prayers and help!”
Foxx’s oldest child was the one who first told everyone about her emergency. “We wanted to let you know that my father, Jamie Foxx, had a health problem yesterday. “
Thanks to quick action and great care, he is already on the way to getting better,” said an Instagram post from April 12 that has since been taken down. “We know how much he is loved and thank you for your thoughts. During this time, the family asks for privacy.”
At the time of his medical problem, Foxx was in Atlanta filming the Netflix comedy Back in Action. He and his Annie co-star Cameron Diaz (in her first part in a feature film in almost 10 years) both star in the movie.
He was also getting ready to film the sixth season of his Fox game show Beat Shazam. Nick Cannon is filling in for him right now. The next time you can see Foxx is in the Netflix movie They Cloned Tyrone, which comes out this Friday, June 14. It stars John Boyega and Teyonah Parris.
