This is the longest stretch of new teams at the top of the NBA since six different teams won it between 1980 and 1975. In a game that seems totally open, championships can really be won or lost in free agency. When players hit the open market on June 30, these are the stakes.

When they signed free agent guard Bruce Brown last summer, the Nuggets did something important that helped them win the title. Denver also made a big move by getting Kentavious Caldwell-Pope from the Wizards for Monte Morris and Will Barton. This was a big deal.
