The people in charge of Paris 2024 have responded after a second Olympic athlete voiced worries about the condition of their bronze medal.

Each medal at the Paris Games is made of scrap metal from the Eiffel Tower. The medals first came under fire after an American athlete named Nyjah Huston shared a video about them on Thursday.

The skateboarder showed how the color of his medal had changed and how it had started to chip. He then said, “They’re not as high quality as you would think.”

He also said, “It looks rough.” “The front is even beginning to chip off a bit.”

“I don’t know, Olympic medals? We need to improve the quality a bit.” It looks like the medal has been to war and back.

Now that Team GB diver Yasmin Harper has won her bronze medal in the women’s 3m synchronized diving competition with Scarlett Mew Jensen, things are also getting worse.

“I will say there has been some tarnishing,” the Brit said after coming in fifth place in the 3m springboard final on Friday.

“The Monnaie de Paris will replace all damaged medals with new ones that are engraved exactly the same way as the originals.”

So far, it looks like only the bronze awards are being affected. They have copper, zinc, tin, and small amounts of silver in them.
