Phil Mickelson has made the news with what was his best-ever finish in his LIV Golf career. The golf legend is doing everything possible in a bid to add another major title to his name. He recently came out third in the LIV Golf Hong Kong event which was a milestone in his journey with the league.
Mickelson’s Great Performance in Hong Kong
Mickelson had a busy week in Hong Kong, attending functions and playing golf. It began with a Twitter fight with Fred Couples, who posted about Brooks Koepka supposedly wanting to quit LIV Golf. Mickelson later deleted his tweet, calling Couples a put down at jerk level.
On the other hand, Mickelson has said that he lets his game talk for itself. He achieved what was his best performance in LIV Golf, finishing third in the event and only 4 points behind winner Sergio Garcia. This also marks his first top five finish since joining LIV Golf and is a reflection of the effort he has been putting on his craft.
While reflecting on his performance, Mickelson stated, “If I had a better offseason, I could have been able to do more. I’m doing a lot of different things now, from the style of golf I choose to play to everything else.

I’ve had amazing performances at home, and it’s a privilege to showcase that skill here. I would have been able to contend at Adelaide if I putted better there too. Even today, I was able to lower my score by four or five strokes, but the golf I’m playing is phenomenal.”
Team Success and Personal Milestones It is hardly surprising that Mickelson’s individual achievement came alongside his team — HyFlyers GC — winning their first podium third place together with Cameron Smith’s Ripper Gc. “I hope this will serve as a motivational push toward further results since it was a solid steppingstone for us,” Mickelson recalled.
“Although we didn’t win, we kept our heads above the leader board for most of the day. Even though we fell three shots short, we are figuring out how to find our groove, and it was amazing feeling to be on the podium. We have our sights set higher now.”
This was his best result since the 2023 Masters which is when he tied for second place after an impressive 7 under 65 on Sunday. Alongside describing this being his best performance in years, he also highlight the exceptional short game and their iron game.
Mickelson now possesses renewed vigour and has major ambitions. They explain what drives humans. What does psychology tell us about motivation? What drives human beings? Everything about language motivation and everything about psychology tells us that humans are beautifully complex. These concepts are eloquently complex, considering we define it as ‘human beings are wonderfully arranged.’
Mickelson confidently remarked, “I’m hitting more fairways than anyone else in the field,” indicating that he leads in striking the target area of the course more than any other golfer. “My game is improving, and I’m back to being strong with my short game. The last few years were challenging, but now I’m feeling great. I’m playing with less stress, and it’s showing in my results.”
At the age of 54, Mickelson admits, “This week is a building block as I continue to work towards my goals of winning LIV events and another major ,especially as I prepare for Augusta.” “I’m making a lot of good shots and playing some of my best golf,” he explains.
Conclusion
In retrospect, Mickelson argues, “having less expectations has made watching you live more enjoyable.” Meaning is his third place finish on Milv at Hong Kong. It is evident what takes him at his highest potential. With these accomplishments, it clearly reflects how he continues to inspire people and that indeed age is just a number.
