The CONCACAF Nations League Final Four is coming up soon, and Christian Pulisic and Weston McKennie are playing their best in Italy’s Serie A. This sends a message to the other teams in the area that want to beat the Americans.
The American winger scored 8 goals and set up 6 others in Serie A on Sunday. He has now been involved in 14 goals this season and is just one goal away from beating his career high.
“I feel great, better than at any other time in my career.” “I have a lot of faith in everyone—the staff, the coach, my teammates, the fans, and the city,” Pulisic told DAZN.
There will be other teams besides Pulisic, though, that want to win the CONCACAF Nations League three times. Weston McKennie, a midfielder, is also having a great time with Juventus.
Along with Olivier Giroud and Theo Hernández, the midfielder has the most assists with nine. He got all nine of them in the 2-2 draw between Juventus and Atalanta. Not only is McKennie playing well, but his Juventus team is not at the top of the Serie A table. Inter is 16 points ahead of the Old Lady, who is in second place in the league. McKennie’s play this season has been a bit of a surprise since he was loaned to English club Leeds United last year.
McKennie didn’t live up to the hype and looked slow from the start in the Premier League, which led to Leeds United being relegated along with Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams, who are also USMNT partners.
That was back then, though, and this is now. The two players will be in great shape for the March 21 game against Jamaica, where they will try to make it to the final and keep up their great play against the CONCACAF teams that are all trying to take the crown away from the USMNT players.
