Rory McIlroy has talked about how the LIV Tour is different from the more traditional PGA Tour in terms of money.
In a new episode of Gary Neville’s show Stick to Football, McIlroy talked about his life from when he was a kid to now, when he is famous.
There was always going to be talk about his relationship with LIV, since the man from Co. Down has been the loudest voice against the idea of golf contracts paid for by Saudi Arabia.

McIlroy said this about the changes in money between LIV and PGA: “It’s the guarantee part of it.” LIV is offering you a deal to play golf for five or six years. We’ll pay you whatever amount you want each year, and you’ll also have the chance to win prizes.I don’t know the exact numbers, but Jon Rahm is said to be worth more than £500 million. That’s the amount of money.”
Neville asked McIlroy if those are the kinds of fees he has been turning down. McIlroy said that he has never had to turn down an offer because he has never even thought about one.
Last but not least, McIlroy was asked if he would ever sign a LIV deal if they got together with the PGA Tour.

He said that he would be ready to do that if the LIV Tour only ran for a short time and didn’t affect the regular PGA tournaments too much.
