The album came out almost two years after Pique was fired for cheating on Shakira in June 2022.
SHAKIRA made another subtle reference to the drama surrounding her breakup with Gerard Pique after announcing the release of her first studio record in seven years.
The Colombian singer revealed that her album “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” (Women No Longer Cry) will be out next month and said that while she was recording it, her “tears turned into diamonds.”
The number of the record comes from a line in her Latin Grammy-winning song “Music Sessions Vol. 53” with Argentine producer Bizarrap.
Shakira told everyone about it in a touching post on social media on Wednesday.
It said: “My new album, coming out March 22, is one I created together with all of you, my pack of shewolves who were there for me every step of the way.””While writing each song I was rebuilding myself,” the artist says. In a way, making this body of work has been like alchemy.
“While I sang them, my tears turned into diamonds and my weakness into strength.”
The new album has 16 songs, eight new songs and a remix. It also has seven hits that were released before: “Music Sessions Vol. 53” with Bizarrap, “TQG” with Karol G, “Te Felicito” with Rauw Alejandro, “Copa Vacía” with Manuel Turizo, and more.
She split up with her longtime husband Pique in June 2022 after he was fired for cheating on her. The release comes almost two years after their breakup.
The Colombian singer found out her favorite strawberry jam had been stolen from the fridge while she was away, which is thought to be how she found out the ex-Barcelona star was cheating.
After they broke up, Shakira kept making fun of the World Cup winner. Her most recent record and the statement that went with it are more proof of how much she dislikes him.
In October, Shakira seemed to poke fun at Pique when she posted a video of Arsenal fans singing her hit song “Waka Waka” in three different languages on her Stories.

The post was titled “Go Arsenal!” Arsenal is a rival of Pique’s old team, Manchester United.
It happened soon after she announced the name of one of her new songs: “The Boss.” This seems to be a reference to the name her friends are said to have given her.
It is said that Shakira never got along with the football player’s friends, who called her “La Patron” or “The Boss” because of her “bad character.”
And in September, just hours after Pique took off with his new girlfriend, Shakira posted a hot new video on Instagram that made everyone hot.
The pop star is seen looking straight into the camera and flipping her famously long hair. This comes after her ex-boyfriend, a football player, was seen making out with his girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti.
