There are many places to play golf where you don’t have to pay hundreds of dollars. Realtor.com put together a list of the 10 least expensive golf places in the U.S.
Realtor.com says that these places have the best mix of easy access to golf courses, relatively cheap real estate, and weather that is best for days spent on the greens.
“Many are also places with a high great of lifestyles and a value of residing underneath the countrywide average, which makes them lower priced not handiest in phrases of actual estate but additionally in phrases of everyday charges.”
Omaha, Nebraska, Cincinnati, Ohio, Indianapolis, Indiana, Riverside, California, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Mobile, Alabama, and Savannah, Georgia are ranked tenth thru 7th.
Realtor.com says that “Lowcountry Golf” fans love Savannah because it has nice weather all year and a lot of historic places and other things to do to round out golf trips.

Biloxi, Mississippi comes in third as the best place for cheap golfers. The city’s official website says that there are at least 11 golf courses close to the city, including special “casino courses” that are owned and run by a Biloxi casino resort or are directly connected to a Biloxi casino property.
Champion Traveler says that hotels cost an average of $86 per night and vacation homes range from $240 to $560 per night for the whole house. This makes it an affordable place for golfers who want to take advantage of the mild winters along the coast.
Second place went to Deerfield Beach, Florida, which has 12 golf holes to try out. Between Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach is easy to get to, and most condos and homes that are rented out through Airbnb cost between $50 and $90 a night.
People who want to buy a vacation home or move after they retire can find many inexpensive homes with all the best features. Realtor.com said that homes within 10 minutes of a golf course cost around $245,000, which is “far below the national median of around $430,000,” so the investment is worth it for people who want to golf all year long.
The top spot on the list went to Sun City, Arizona, which has a huge 28 golf courses and real estate prices that are about 9% less than the national average. When it opened in 1960, the area was the first active retirement community in the U.S. Since then, the number of golfers in the area has grown rapidly.
Realtor.com says that the number of 55+ communities makes it hard for younger players to use the area, but Vrbo says that it takes less than 30 minutes to drive to Sun City from Phoenix, AZ. When they’re not on the links, visitors can stay nearby and visit places like the Westgate Entertainment District and State Farm Stadium.
These golf towns are a fun way to spend a weekend with friends, whether you want to play golf every day or just take it easy.
