It looks like Cristiano Ronaldo’s son wants to be like his dad.
Soccer reporter Fabrizio Romano says that Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. has joined Al-Nassr’s Under-13 team. This is the youth team for the Saudi Arabian club where his father plays.
He says Ronaldo Jr. will start training in a few days and will wear his dad’s No. 7 on the field.
Ronaldo said in 2019: “My son tells me, ‘Dad, wait a few more years. I want to play with you.'”
He’s already 38 years old, so let’s see how long he can stay around and play with his son. That sounds like a great story idea.
Ronaldo Sr. has been playing for Al-Nassr since January, when he signed a huge deal that is said to be worth more than $200 million a year.
“History is being made,” Al Nassr FC wrote on Twitter when the player was signed.
“This signing will not only push our team to even greater success, but it will also push our league, our country, and the boys and girls of the future to be the best versions of themselves.” Hey Cristiano, welcome to your new home at Al Nassr FC.
Ronaldo will play in his second game of the Saudi Pro League season this weekend when Al-Nassr plays Damac.
