In the Nations League season of 2024–2025, England will play Finland, the Republic of Ireland, and Greece.
In the last version of the Europe-wide tournament, the Three Lions were kicked out of League A. Gareth Southgate’s team didn’t win a single game and came in last place in a group with Italy, Hungary, and Germany.
Italy won its group and, along with Spain, the Netherlands, and Croatia, moved on to the finals. Spain won the game in the end, beating Croatia on penalties in the final.
The League part starts on September 5, and the next game day is a few days later. The third and fourth matchdays will happen during the international break in October. The league season will end in November.
After that, the quarterfinals will happen in March 2025. The semifinals and final will then happen in June of that year. Spain, Portugal, and Poland are in Group A1, while Iceland, Montenegro, and Turkey are in Group B4. Scotland will play these teams.
Last but not least, Northern Ireland was put in C3 with Luxembourg, Bulgaria, and Belarus.
