Mitoma was bought by Brighton in the summer of 2021 for £2.6 million from the Japanese team Kawasaki Frontale.

In 41 games for Brighton in all categories last year, he scored 10 goals and set up 8 others.

He’s off to a good start for Brighton this season, with three assists and a goal in five games.
