The newly formed UFL has announced eight areas and coaches.

Monday was the first day that the new United Football League named eight cities and head coaches for the 2024 season.

The UFL has four areas that used to be in the XFL, three from the USFL, and one that the two leagues used to share.

With its start in March, the UFL named its two conferences after the leagues that are now one. The head coaches for each team are shown below:

The Birmingham Stallions (Skip Holtz), the Houston Roughnecks (Curtis Johnson), the Memphis Showboats (John DeFilippo), and the Michigan Panthers (Mike Nolan) are all in the USFL conference.

The Arlington Renegades (Bob Stoops), the D.C. Defenders (Reggie Barlow), the San Antonio Brahmas (Wade Phillips), and the St. Louis BattleHawks are all in the XFL league.

In 2023, teams from both leagues played in Houston. The UFL chose to keep the XFL team and hire the coach of the Houston Gamblers of the USFL.

Everyone in the UFL is going to start training camp on February 24 in Arlington, Texas.
March 30 will be the first game of the 10-game regular season. It will be between the 2023 USFL winner Birmingham and the 2023 XFL champion Arlington.
