Golf holes are broken up into three groups: par 3, par 4, and par 5. The groups are based on the length of the hole and the number of shots needed to reach the green. Nothing new for players who have told friends who don’t play golf this idea countless times.

But there are some holes, called par 6, that are so far away that you can’t get to them in three shots. As defined by the USGA, a par 6 hole needs to be at least 610 meters long. The average player has to hit a drive and two layups with a wood or iron before they can even hit their shots onto the green, which tests their long game.

The hurdles need to be set up so that everyone can use them. But because it’s so long, the hole could turn into a boring hallway. There isn’t enough room for par 6 holes. It is very hard to find a place where nature can naturally make such a long and interesting field.
There shouldn’t be just one very long hole; instead, there should be two shorter but more difficult ones. The so-called “par 6s” are the best golf holes on Earth, though they are not very common. Among the most well-known, the one at the Gunsan Country Club in South Korea stands out.
Not only is the first hole, a par 6 that goes for more than 650 meters, famous for its beautiful setting, but so is the eleventh hole, a par 7 that goes for 1100 meters and is thought to be the only one of its kind in the world.
A breathtaking experience for the most experienced golfers, who don’t get the chance to try this kind of task very often.
