The story says that Kylian Mbappe is suing PSG for €55 million.

Kylian Mbappe left PSG for free this summer and went to Real Madrid to show off his skills. However, he is currently in a disagreement with his old club over what he thinks are unpaid wages and loyalty bonuses from his time in Paris.

Mbappe is claiming that he wasn’t paid for the last three months of his PSG career and that he still hasn’t received parts of two different bonus payments that were part of his contract.

As first reported by Le Monde, Mbappe has now told his lawyers to call both UEFA and the legal department of the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP), which is in charge of French football. They need to find the €55 million.

In June, it came out that Mbappe’s lawyers had told PSG that they would take legal action. “Negotiations were ongoing” with the French club, but the Madrid forward has decided to take things to the next level since there has been no progress yet.

Early this month, Mbappe’s team called the LFP to complain about the missed wages. They pointed out that clubs are required by law to pay their employees’ monthly salaries by the last day of the month in question.

Even though the fact that Mbappe wasn’t paid for three months may make it seem like the case is closed, PSG is still arguing that the terms of his contract with the club were changed when he made it clear he wanted to leave for free.

It was agreed upon by Mbappe and PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi at the start of the 2023–24 season, after he had been kept out of the team. Before letting the forward go for free, PSG wanted to sell him. However, Mbappe was finally brought back after the club agreed to not pay him as much if he did leave for free.

Because of the new deal, PSG says they don’t owe Mbappe the €55 million, and now the LFP and UEFA could decide what to do about this dispute.
