Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy are going to be sued.
Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy are going to be sued.

Larry Klayman, a lawyer, is getting ready to talk to Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy about a case against the PGA Tour. He means that everyone has to follow the rules. The PGA Tour and the LIV Golf League have made up, but Klayman’s case against the Tour is still going on in Palm Beach County court. Everything began in June 2022.

He says that the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour tried to stop the new LIV Golf Tour and its players. He says that they are hurting Florida sports fans. The court now says Woods has until January 30 to talk and McIlroy has until February 23.

People said that Woods hid a subpoena, and McIlroy got his while he was on break, which made Woods mad. At one point, this got into a fight with Patrick Reed.

What Klayman’s group did

Klayman’s group, Freedom Watch, says that the fact that Woods and McIlroy tried to avoid going to court makes it look like they’re guilty. They think that if Woods and McIlroy talk in court, it will show that they backed the PGA Tour against the new golf club. They believe they meant to hurt the LIV Golf Tour and its stars. A lot of people can’t wait to see what Woods and McIlroy say, if they say anything at all.

Another claim is that the PGA Tour banned a famous player, Jon Rahm, because he wanted to play on the LIV Tour. This is one more way they’re trying to stop the new league. Fans of golf were shocked when Jon Rahm joined LIV Golf.
