Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) was shocked by OGC Nice’s 3-2 win at the Parc des Princes. This was Kylian Mbappe’s team’s first loss of the season.

In the 21st minute, when Nice scored their first goal, it was Mbappe’s fault because he gave the ball away. When the guests broke into the box, Jean-Clair Todibo’s shot was blocked, but Terem Moffi’s second shot hit Theo Hernandez and went into the goal.

Six minutes later, Paris custodian Gianluigi Donnarumma made a great save to stop Kephren Thuram from giving Nice a two-goal lead. PSG was living in a dangerous way.

But Luis Enrique’s team finally got going, and Ousmane Dembele had a chance to tie the game in the 28th minute. The former Barcelona midfielder was put through by Mbappe and had Goncalo Ramos open, but he chose to go it alone. He took a strong shot, but it went over the bar, which made everyone in the Parc des Princes very angry.

Then Mbappe stepped up to the plate and made up for the mistake he made that let Nice score their first goal. The game was tied at 1-1 when the PSG captain for the night waited for the ball to fall to him on the edge of the box before sending a beautiful shot past Les Aiglons goalie Marcin Bulka.

The player who scored the most goals in Ligue 1 last year could have scored again in the 44th minute. He curled a shot just past the top right corner of Bulka’s goal, but it was clear that he wanted more goals.

At the start of the second half, Nice was the team with more drive, and it paid off in the 53rd minute. Didier Digard’s team got the ball back and put together a nice move that Gaetan Laborde finished to give his team a 2-1 lead again.

Just two minutes later, the guests almost scored a third goal when Vitinha messed up and gave the ball away. Laborde found Sofiane Diop right away, but Donnarumma kept the French defender from scoring.

Nice did get a third goal in the 68th minute, and Moffi did it again. The Nigerian forward cut inside onto his left foot and sent a strong shot past Donnarumma. The Parc des Princes fell silent, and the heads of PSG dropped.

In the 87th minute, when Randal Kolo-Muani crossed the ball, Mbappe volleyed it in, giving Nice a tense finish. Les Ainglons tried hard to keep their lead, but they made it to the finish line first. The effort by Enrique’s men was, in the end, not very good.

One fan says the team misses Lionel Messi and Neymar:

“Messi and Neymar were the ones carrying this PSG team.”

Another fan thinks that No. 7 for the Parisians will have another hard season:

“Another year of Mbappe’s career was wasted.”

Marco Verratti has left PSG after 11 years to play for Al-Ahli in the Qatar Stars League. The 30-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the Qatari team, and Paris will get €45 million in exchange.

After the Italy player moved to Al-Ahli, his close friend and former partner Mbappe sent him a message. On his Instagram story, he wrote:

“A great player and a great guy. All these years of being by your side have been a huge joy. We will never forget or overlook the time you spent here. He is one of the best players I’ve seen. “Thank you, my friend. I’ll miss you a lot.”

Verratti was a fan favourite at PSG, where he played for 416 games, scored 11 goals, and set up 61 others. He won nine wins in Ligue 1, six in the Coupe de France, and six in the French League Cup.
