ENGLAND is taking over a fancy lodge with 94 rooms for Euro 2024, but they will leave their dogs 20 miles away.
It is said that the FA paid £800,000 to book a whole German golf and spa center, which even has a robot that can pick up the dishes.
And the Three Lions are going to bring their own cooks, so the players’ partners shouldn’t be anywhere near them.
People say that the FA is trying to make sure that the “circus” that happened the last time England played in a big tournament in Germany doesn’t happen again.
That was when the Three Lions barely made it through the 2006 World Cup before losing to Portugal on penalties in the quarterfinals.
Back then, celebrities like Victoria Beckham, Cheryl Cole, Alex Gerrard, and Coleen Rooney got a lot of bad press.
And it looks like the FA are being very careful this time.
The event will take place from June 14 to July 14 at the Weimarer Land Golf and Spa resort in Blankenhain, which has swimming pools, a sauna, and a gym.
The Wags, on the other hand, are thought to be considering stopping at a five-star hotel 40 minutes away by car.
It is thought that manager Gareth Southgate will have one of the top three rooms at the Weimarer. These suites are named Birdie, Albatross, and Eagle, all of which are golf-themed.
Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, and the rest of the team will have rooms or flats with wood walls.
Every man will have a hand-held digital pad that is connected to the resort’s staff. This will make room service even easier.
When it comes to food, breakfast will be like any other service at the place. In the menu are fresh orange juice, eggs, salmon, and organic sourdough rolls. Honey made in the area is also available.
The FA is counting on their own cooks to make sure that athletes get the right nutrition.
There will be an à la carte meal, though, made by Michelin chefs Danny Schwabe and Marcello Fabbri from the Weimarer’s Augusta and Masters restaurants.
Overall, it’s a lot better than expected for a place that will be hosting the England team.
As the guests, Southgate’s Lions need to be at their best on the field if they want to win their first big trophy since 1996.
