Sullivan told ESPN about his built-in Manchester City transfer.

“I’ve always wanted to start my career here because this is my home and I’ve always been on the sidelines of (his brother) Quinn’s games and I’ve been in and around the facility when my uncle worked here,” Sullivan told ESPN. “I’ve always been driven to play for this culture and these wonderful fans. But I think the Union-City Group collaboration did it for me.

I always follow Man City. Imagine every kid’s dream team. To convince Philadelphia and Man City to agree, I sat with my family and representatives and concluded it was the best plan.”

After the game, Union coach Jim Curtin praised the 14-year-old rising star.

“This is just the first chapter in Cavan’s career,” Curtin told reporters. “The timing was opportune to try him. This initial stage was organized by the Union, Cavan, his family, and European large clubs. This kid isn’t normal. We knew that beforehand. He differs. His path is distinct from others. A particular plan awaits him.”
