Olympic torchbearer: As part of the opening event for the Olympics, a mysterious torchbearer has been walking around Paris. Fans aren’t sure who is behind the mask.
People are wondering who the unknown torchbearer in the opening event of the Olympics could be.
This mysterious person was first seen with the flame on a boat while Phantom of the Opera played in the background. They were dressed in clothes that wouldn’t look out of place in Assassin’s Creed. They then made a dramatic jump across rooftops, cutting off the broadcast of countries paradeing in boats on the Seine. Later, our friend with the hat was seen running into the Louvre.
The random glimpses of the mystery person have made everyone on the internet very interested, and people are making wild guesses about who is hiding behind the cloak.
Someone joked, “If this masked torchbearer isn’t shown to be Celine Dion, then what are we even doing?”
One more person said, “For some crazy reason I’m half expecting Leonardo DiCaprio.“
Louis Vuitton’s official account wrote, “A masked torchbearer crosses the roofs and ateliers of the Maison at Pont Neuf, revealing the savoir-faire of the craftsmen of the #LouisVuitton Medals Trunks for the Olympic Games Paris 2024.” This may not have been a coincidence.
There’s one thing for sure: that mask is not on Snoop Dogg. The American rapper is enjoying the attention of many people somewhere else along the Seine. He can’t get away from the attention of the public.
Some Parisians might not like how Snoop stole the show. One person on social media asked, “Please tell me it’s not an American star!” But a true French story.”
Another person pointed out that Kylian Mbappe, France’s most famous athlete, is not going to the Olympics because he has to play in the Euros this summer. Could the man in the mask have switched out his ninja turtle mask for a darker one during the opening ceremony of the Olympics?
After all, the torchbearer was seen running and jumping from one building to another with great skill. After playing for PSG for more than six years, Mbappe knows the city very well. He was born in the areas of Paris.
The Assassin’s Creed idea is still a good one. The French gaming giant Ubisoft is making the game and posted an animated picture of the main character, Arno, on a rooftop with a view of Notre Dame.
The Assassin’s Creed X account sent out a tweet that said, “Keep an eye on Paris’ rooftops—Arno might just be watching from above,” along with an eyes emoji.
As a joke, one user claimed that “the torchbearer is The Unknown from the Willy Wonka Experience.”
There’s no doubt that would be a sad reveal.
The person in the mask might take off their mask during the closing ceremony of the Olympics on August 11th. Or, they could win a gold medal in fencing and surprise everyone.
