AFC Wimbledon will play Ramsgate on the road in the second round of the FA Cup. Ramsgate is one of the lowest-ranked teams left in the tournament.
Their match will be one of many exciting ones in December, as sides from smaller leagues all try to make it to the third round and maybe play a team from the Premier League.
The top team in the National League South, Yeovil Town, will play Hollywood stars Wrexham. Former cup winners Bolton will play Harrogate Town, and Wigan Athletic will travel to either Chester or York City.
Right now, Oxford City is the best team in the tournament. In the next round, they will play either Slough Town or Grimsby Town.

Surprise in the second round at 14:15, Mike Jones
In this year’s FA Cup, Ramsgate has already had a crazy run. They beat Chatham Town, Cray Wanders, Totton, and now Woking in the first round proper to make it to the second round.
In the event, they have never made it this far. The last time they made it this far was in 2005, in the first round.
Ramsgate is a small football team from Kent that plays by the sea. Their home game in the second round would fill up the 2,500-seat Southwood Stadium.
Ramsgate might also play a team from the Premier League if they make it to the third round and their draw goes well.
Portsmouth lost to Chesterfield
14:14, Jones Mike
Chesterfield, which is in first place in the national league, beat Portsmouth, which is in first place in League One, and is now moving on to the second round of the FA Cup!
Tom Naylor’s goal was enough to beat Pompey, who hadn’t lost to a team from outside the league in nine years. Now Chesterfield can’t wait for the second round draw to happen so they can find out who they’ll play next.

After a break, the FA Cup starts up again this weekend with the first round proper. Football League and non-league teams will continue their trip.
The 48 teams from EFL League One and League Two are in the first round. The 32 winners from non-league football who made it through the qualifying and preliminary rounds are also there.
So, there are a total of 40 games in the first round, and only 20 games in the second round. By the end of the New Year, there will be 20 lower-league or non-league teams still in the FA Cup.
Essex will play Portsmouth in the first round of the FA Cup.
Mike Jones at 13:36
As of today’s early start, Chesterfield has a slim 1-0 lead over Portsmouth in the middle of the second half. Tom Naylor’s goal in the first half is what separates the teams in a game that was mostly even.
Is there a way to get back to Portsmouth? Time is running out.
