Zinedine Zidane, the famous French football player and coach, hasn’t been seen managing football teams since 2021, leaving fans and experts alike wondering what he will do next. In a recent chat with Tuttomercatoweb, the former Real Madrid player talked about his time off from teaching and hinted at what he wants to do in the future.
“When am I going to start teaching again? “I don’t have any plans; I’m just spending time with my family, who is very important to me,” Zidane said. The sports legend’s love for his family comes first, but he could become a teacher in the future.
Zidane had two great coaching runs with Real Madrid, from 2016 to 2018 and again from 2019 to 2021. The club won two La Liga titles, two Spanish Super Cups, and an amazing three straight UEFA Champions League wins while he was in charge.
Even though there have been a lot of reports linking him to big teams, the former Juventus player has not been seen. Carlo Ancelotti is currently in charge of Real Madrid, so Zidane’s possible return is still unknown, even though Ancelotti’s term is set to end in 2024.
Zidane said about the constant reports about his future, “It will always be full of rumors until I am officially appointed as a manager, so let’s see.” According to recent news, the World Cup winner has turned down management offers from big teams like PSG, Marseille, and Al-Nassr. His main goals seem to be to manage either Juventus or the French national team, but Max Allegri and Didier Deschamps are already in those positions.
The exciting world of football can’t wait to see what Zidane does next. The mysterious coach keeps his cards close to his chest. Even though he is still not teaching, the Frenchman will always be remembered as a great football player, and his ultimate return will be a huge deal for fans all over the world.
